The operation was sequel to a credible intelligence report on kidnap of some people by armed bandits from their farm in Gwazunu village, Chikun LGA of Kaduna State.

This was contained in a statement made available to News headquarter by the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. John Enenche on Friday, saying the troops were promptly deployed to the scene and engaged the bandits with effective firepower.
