
Tor Tiv and President, Tiv Area Traditional Council, HRM, Orcivirigh Prof James Ayatse has charged his son and a presidential aspirant, Chief Moses Ayom to remain focused and committed to his ideals as well as his relationship with his allies and associates in order to realise his 2023 dreams.
Orcivirigh Ayatse gave the charge when he received the presidential aspirant, chief Ayom, accompanied by members of Middle Belt Imams as well as Middle Belt Bishops associations who visited him at his palace.
The Paramount ruler who noted that the delegation was a united voice speaking to Nigerians to remain one indivisible entity irrespective of religious affiliation regretted that some people use religion to perpetrate divisive tendencies expressed delight that this synergy of Imams and Bishops for a common purpose was genuine and the first of its kind, adding that their action will move Nigeria to greatness again.
The Tor Tiv who is the Chairman Benue Council of Traditional Rulers, restated his hope and prayers that the position of the next president of Nigeria should come to Middle Belt, Benue and particularly his Tiv son since no person from the middle belt though with qualified persons has been in the position after Nigeria’s independence.
The National President and Chairman Board of Trustees Association of Christian Traditional Rulers of Nigeria also commended president Mohammad Buhari for the assistance and support he has been rendering to chief Ayom and to Tiv nation and called for its sustenance.
In separate remarks, some first class chiefs who were present during the visit including Tor Jemgbagh David Afaiityo, Tor Kwande Ambrose Iortyer, Tor Jechira Clement Ugandan, Tor Lobi Moses Anagende and Tor Gwer Julius Aondona, represented by Ter Tyoshin, Chief Ayua Abomtse all attested to the fact that middle belt has eminently qualified children for the seat of the country’s president and also gave their blessing to the delegation and particularly to Moses Ayom describing his ambition as a noble project that must be fully annointed.
Earlier, Imam Aliyu Rabin Lawal and Arch Bishop Edward William Chanomi who spoke said they were at the palace for the presentation and appeal for Royal blessing for chief Moses Ayom’s presidential project.
The spiritual leaders stated that after thorough consultations,they concluded that chief Ayom was the candidate Nigeria needs at this moment for sustainable change considering the fact that middle belt has not produced a president, not even a vice president and maintained that their project was a worth while project.
In his speech, the presidential hopeful, chief Ayom said his visit was to solicit Royal blessing for the project and to intimate the Paramount ruler on the assistance and the upliftment he had enjoyed from president Buhari in the course of his business endeavour and appealed to him to convey his appreciation to the president.
He appealed to the Tor Tiv to avail him the royal blessing for him to be bold enough to face the challenge before him.
