I have never cried the way I wept to God on the Saturday that His Excellency Ademola Adeleke won his election on July 16th. I had been awake all night standing vigil with our cardinal Captain Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye who was assisting Yeye Modupe Adeleke Iya Gomina on important logistics. That night we did not know our fate yet but we were very sure that nothing was left undone in hardwork but politics can be very funny. On that night, one will appreciate more the magnificent status of our pillar through God, our Father, Dr Deji Adeleke. May he never die. He is the arch catalyst for the liberation of the Osun masses. A single man equivalent to more than the population of China to the glory of God.
I suffered from the injury of the pick pockets boys at our last rally in Osogbo on Thursday and my phone was carted away or stolen. I had to block the sim card on Friday after unsuccessful tracking effort. Saturday was a decisive day as per election and so nothing could be done. It was only on Sunday that I was able to retrieve my line and buy a new phone. This was basically why my Fans could not hear from me while that experience lasted but I am now fully back online. I thank you for your overwhelming love and concern during the period of my absence. All the mentions were being showed to me and they are too much that I will not be able to exhaust due to human infallibility. I do not and can never take this public love for granted. Thank you as I congratulate all of you who have been congratulating ABS too.
So I returned to my temporary abode at 4am. And by 5:30am I was up again. I moved out of base in Ede to Awo to discuss a vital and necessary point with my ever loyal Principal Bamidele Salam – House of Reps Member for Ede Federal Constituency. When I arrived his stead, I met the wonderful Wife first, Oluwaseyi Salam . It was evident on her face that she has also not enjoyed any quality sleep all in our drive for victory. When I requested that mummy should fetch Oga for me, she said haha Uncle ABS I pity my husband. He did not sleep until about 5am and I saw that he needed that short rest. Of course because of what lies ahead because here is a Man who will be up to run the election in Awo and Egbedore in about 1 hour from the time. He was being expected at the collation centre in Osogbo too being the state returning agent for the PDP and Senator Ademola Adeleke. So my message was delivered to Oga and he attended to me promptly and I left immediately without even sitting down because I must catch up with election in Ede. Before I could manuever the routes, army had already took over the way out linking Ede. I scaled through some checkpoints on personal recognition ground but that was not to be at other points. The army was neutrally efficient. They turned me back and I had to abandon my car at a bush location and I trekked across the barricade. Walaaola magic took me to Ede before voting could commence.
NOW THE CRY narration!
As I was driving to Awo alone God was the second companion in the car. It touched my heart that the day of reckoning had fallen upon us and I started praying religiously for His Excellency Senator Ademola Adeleke even as I drove. It got to a limit and I bursted into tears like I have never done since I was born. I prayed for Oga’s success and that we the followers may not be mocked. Unknown to me Allah had hearkened to my cry. Indeed when you pray to God with your original mind God can answer. Alhamdulilahi!!!
Outgoing Governor Oyetola….
I am not cut out to spite his Excellency. For the first time I want to truly acknowledge him as Excellency. Wrongly or rightly he has been put in the office as Governor of Osun State for 4 years since 2018. However some people will argue that Oyetola has never been a Governor really because the mandate was usurped in his favour. At the usurpation a magical less than 500 votes were fabricated to give him a lead but we have been vindicated now. The Tribunal ordered for his sack but the powers that be reversed that again.
The Governor allowed those without political experience to take the centre stage of the government nucleus. They pitched him against his benefactor, dogged Minister of Interior Rauf Aregbesola. He jointly called the administration in which he served under Rauf a failure. Will God have allowed that to go unpunished? Those who worked out the 2018 miracle are the first casualties leading to open and close defections. Many thanks to my senior Friend and now Leader Barrister Kolapo Alimi who took the bull by the horns by takin the bold step which has now become a great step.
Oyetola also arrogantly assumed that he has a track record of performance. Where is the performance? They came to Ede to do less than 3km Okegada to barrack junction rehabilitation, note that it was not a new construction and without proper drainage system. Yet they shouted to the seventh heaven like the Edes are fools. All our important roads are left in shambles and people go to fix their cars on hourly basis at the mechanic stations due to protracted bad road. We waited for the right time to execute our referendum.
Another area where Oyetola messed up was the recruitment and employment tray. He duped jobs seekers and poor youths by taxing them for unavailable employment. He also connived with greedy labour leaders to exploit and deceive the workforce. The outstanding salary were not paid. Financial effect was not given to promotion ranks. And Oyetola suffocated the LG system by diverting huge funds meant for them and the puppets called executives can not raise alarm. That will stop after inauguration in November by God’s grace in line with the electoral promise of the PDP by the Governor Elect.
Oyetola is also guilty of nepotism. His top agenda has been Iragbiji alone and abandoning everywhere else. He allowed his Wife and Son to run the show and the elites are alarmed. He decived our youths with fake Oyes volunteering recruitment which never came into being. The youths went on to cough out unavailable money and sweat over what the Governor could do but failed to do. How can he expect to win?
Insecurity is an eyesore under the APC since 2018. Banks closed down. Ritualists’ dens increased everywhere especially in Iwo where the Oluwo have become a spokesman for the defeated Governor sadly. I feel sad because I have unfettered access to the Kabiesi and I had enjoyed from his meekness until I had to reevaluate due to partsisan issues. May God enable my father to embark on urgent amends because Iwo is too important to be held down in the new scheme of things. I call on the Iwo elites to assist Kabiesi in reaching out for normalcy to be restored. No place will be allowed to go suffering under Senator Ademola Adeleke as Governor. Thugs reigned supreme with the state government giving them covers. We saw how Asiri Eniba was nabbed on election eve. The hooliganism being sponsored by the state was so alarming that His Majesty Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun The Ataoja of Osogbo had to speak out to condemn thuggery in his domain and the APC appointees did not stop in their provocative insults against Kabiesi. That reflected in the election outcome.
Kabiesi Ooni also bemoaned the state of neglect in his axis in a vital and viral video before the election. Of course Ife is the town of His Excellency the new Deputy Governor. So how the APC could have dismissed that and overrated APC politicians in Ile-Ife was a not tactical.
And their came the mother of all endorsements by the Timi of Ede my supreme Father Lawal Oba Adesola Hrm for his Son the new Governor. That made a lot of difference apart from the solid preparation by the political class. The margin of lead over APC in Ede alone was more than 28000 votes and that was exactly the overall marginal votes difference after all results were tabulated across Osun State. Despite the heavy funding by Oyetola in Ede and everywhere putting #1,500,000, at each polling unit across all the over 3000 units in the 30 LGs and the Area Council, Modakeke, the masses stood resolute to the glory of God.
The flyover bridge that failed brain test in Osogbo could not save Oyetola. Indeed that was the only thing we could see that he did for 4 years. PDP won Osogbo and Olorunda fair and square for the first time in conjunction with other 15 LGs. That was overwhelming acceptability and the love for the Adelekes and PDP. Never again will APC be allowed to have inroad into the hearts of our Osogbo decision makers.
All the four LGs in Ede Federal Constituency were won for PDP. Ejigbo is marvelling for the obvious factor. The alliances will continue to florish. I wish to commend and acknowledge the unrelenting backups of Honourable Bamidele Salam into the campaign culminating to the the total take over of our Constituency. In the last 2 months BS have permanently relocated home and incuring important personal ‘undertakings’ to ensure a victory.
To God be all glory and praises!!! Thank you Osun State. Aiye ope tii yo. We are now in Abeere. His Excellency will not disappoint the teeming masses by God’s grace. IMOLE
