By Jimin Geoffrey

A renowned Cleric and President El-Buba Outreach Ministries, Prophet Isa El-Buba has described Governor Samuel Ortom’s consistent stance for equity and justice for all Nigerians as a true show of patriotism.

El-Buba who spoke today at the Benue Peoples House Makurdi during a courtesy visit on the Governor said anything outside justice and equity is not of God and does not enjoy the support of majority of Nigerians.

While pledging the support of the Church to the fight against injustice in the country, the initiator of better and brighter Nigeria said it was time men of good conscience like Governor Ortom came out to salvage the country, stressing that the Church would fight to bring evil forces to their kneels.

He noted that when leaders are silent over an abomination just like it is happening in Nigeria, it means they were party to such abomination, pointing out that men of good conscience would pull their energies together to put the country back on track.

According to the Cleric, salvaging Nigeria would be done not through prayers alone but politically as well, adding that those who occupy leadership positions must be trustworthy and ready to serve the people.

Responding, Governor Samuel Ortom said when he speaks truth to power, it is not meant to vilify President Muhammadu Buhari as some persons misconstrue, but to draw his attention to the reality of the situation the country is facing under his watch.

The Governor said just as he owns up to challenges people of Benue throw to his administration, President Buhari too, should take full responsibility of the insecurity, criminality and other forms of injustices being perpetrated in the country.

The Governor intimated the Prophet that his administration had gotten the backing of Benue stakeholders to acquire licensed weapons to be able to defend themselves against terrorist herdsmen whose mission is to attack, kill and take over the land.
