
The Begha u Tiv, Orcivirigh Professor James Ortese Iorzua Ayatse has commended the persistent contributions of his Tiv sons and daughters in the diaspora operating under the eagies of Mdzough u Tiv in the United Kingdom (MUTUK) to the development and peace of Tiv land especially during the deliberate annihilation of Tiv by herdsmen and ensuring the success of Ayatutu Ka Se Foundation.
The Tor Tiv who stated this during a courtesy visit on him by the President of Mdzough u Tiv in UK, Dr Kohol Iornem stressed that their spontaneous protest ignited global recognition that had forced the enemies attacking Tiv people to have a rethink.
Orcivirigh Ayatse extolled the leadership qualities of Dr Iornem which said united his subjects in the UK and urged him to continue to stand on the truth and justice for the interest of the entire Tiv world wide.
The Chairman Benue State Council of Traditional Rulers accepted the award of the Grand Patron of MUTUK saying it will spur him to do his best for the prosperity of Tiv nation.
Relatedly, the Tor Tiv expressed joy with Senator Prof David Iornem whom he described as a determined son of Tiv nation who distinguished himself in rendering positive contributions to the educational advancement of Tiv land through scholarship programmes and award of various certificates to Nigerian citizens.
Earlier, MUTUK President, Dr Kohol Iornem while presenting the Award of Grand Patron to the Tor Tiv on behalf of MUTUK noted that the reign of the Tor Tiv has thrusted Tiv to global attention adding that the Begha has made them stand tall along other nations.
He commended Governor Samuel Ortom for constructing a befitting palace for the Tor Tiv which according to him was world class.
In his vote of thanks, Sen. Prof David Iornem wished Tor Tiv long life on the throne so as to fully implement his laudable strategic ideas for the prosperity of Tiv land adding that he had effectively prepared himself for leadership.
Other members of the delegation were the President General of Mdzough u Tiv, CP Iorbee Hyar, Dr Martins Akpusugh, PRO Mdzough u Tiv, Kumashe CTS, Mngusuun Evelyn Iorhemba among others.
