Police brutality: Rep. Salam assemble team of lawyers to get adequate compensation over death of Idris Ajibola

The member of the National Assembly representing the fantastic people of Ede north, Ede south, Egbedore and Ejigbo federal constituency of Osun state, Representative Bamidele Salam has assembled a team of experienced lawyers to seek for justice and get adequate compensation over the death of Idris Ajibola.

Shortly after the meeting which held in Osogbo, he announced as follows:

“This afternoon, Saturday, 31st October, 2020, I led the family of the late Idris Ajibola to meet with a team of lawyers led by the former Chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Ilesa branch, Kanmi Ajibola Esq, Naim Adedayo Esq and Akintayo Jimoh Esq to discuss the various options to seek legal redress and get adequate compensation for the family of the young man whose death occured in a crash while being recklessly pursued by some Policemen on the 15th of September this year.

“We resolved, among others, to present a petition before the Judicial Panel recently inaugurated by the Osun State Government to investigate acts of Police brutality.

“We hope to get justice for the family and prevent a further occurrence of similar acts in our society”.
