Nigeria’s First Lady and the wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari will arrive Abuja, the nation’s capital in the early hours of Sunday.
According the report, the President’s wife left London yesterday Saturday evening. Aisha was out of the country for about two months now.
She announced her return to Nigeria on social media a moment before leaving for Nigeria.
In her tweet handle, the First Lady said “Wife of the Nigerian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Mrs Modupe Oguntade seeing me off. Thank you so much madam”.
Her long absence has been trailed by rumours especially towards the end of the week including alleged plans by her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari to take a second wife in the person of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq.
Recall that wedding cards were in circulation on social media calling for the wedding of President Buhari and Honourable minister Farouk which was to take place on Friday in national mosque, Abuja.
Meanwhile, the Minister in a tweet on Friday said “it has come to my attention that a fake Twitter account @Sadiya_farouq_ has been created in my name. I wish to inform my followers and well meaning Nigerians to disregard the handle and any information posted on it.
My official Twitter handle remains @Sadiya_farouq”.
