
As part of efforts to improve efficiency and effective service delivery, the Nigerian Army is intending to partner the Benue State University (BSU) Makurdi, North Central Nigeria.
The partnership will ensure capacity building as well as human resource development initiatives which are critical to the modus operandi of a forward looking force.
The decision was made known when the president of the International Federation of Civil Rights and Liberty Organizations (IFCRO), Dr. Michael Spencer and his team paid an advocacy visit to the Commander, Operation Safe Haven, Jos in Plateau state.
During the occasion the University was recommended for partnership on training in view of the institution’s desire to impact positively on all strata of the Nigerian society.
The event also featured presentation of Certificate of Credence to commander which it was explained is aimed at boosting his morale in the service to nation and humanity.
He was also commended for carrying out his duty with a patriotic zeal that accounts for respect for human rights in accordance with the United Nations general standards and rules of engagement.
