NEPZA: Abuja chamber commends Buhari over Adesugba’s appointment

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for finding one of its Vice Presidents and a renowned investment professional ,Professor Soji Adesugba worthy of appointment as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA).

In a press statement signed by the Chamber’s President on behalf of executive and management of ACCI, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode praised the devotion of the President to merit and equity in critical appointments, pointing out that Adesugba is a round peg in a round hole.

According to him, Prof. Adesugba will bring his wealth of experience which he has accumulated both in theory and practice to carry out, effectively and efficiently execute the mandate of the Authority.

He described Prof. Adesugba as a man with attention to details, a Midas touch, go-getter, manager of human and material resources also expresses optimism that under his watch, the Authority will be catapulted to new heights in line with the laws setting same up.

In his words: “I am elated on this appointment and not surprised that it is bestowed unto whom it is due. It is practically a case of a round peg in a round hole.

” Prof. Adesugba has demonstrated time without number that he is an effective manner of human and material resources, in all the positions he held in our chamber in particular and all the public service assignments he undertook.

“In the past two decades, I have worked closely with Prof. Adesugba and can attest to his unrivalled attention to details, commitment to achieving excellence, diligence and attention to details among several other sterling qualities.

“As a Vice President of our chamber in charge of the all-important Information and Communication Technology as well as Digital Economy, he brought about innovations that gave birth to and nurtured to fruition our capacity building arm known as the ACCI Business Entrepreneurial Skills and Technology (BEST) Centre.

“While wishing him all the best in his new place of assignment to fatherland on behalf of the entire, I have no doubt in my mind that he will immediately deploy his wealth of experience, acquired in theory and practice to take NEPZA to the next level where its mandate will be comprehensively implemented”.
