Isaiah Terhemen Ipevnor consults Nanev elders, seeks blessings to run for 2023 governorship election

A leading Gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Isaiah Terhemen Ipevnor was at Kogi Apera, the headquarters of Nanev to consult and seek blessings from the elders of Nanev in Kwande Local Government area of Benue State to contest for the number one seat of Benue State. In line with traditional rites, the Fellow of the Institute of Chattered Accountants of Nigeria was presented to Nanev elders by the oldest person in Mbahav, elder Wanfan Makar. Speaking through elder Ayatse Angyo, elder Wanfan informed Nanev elders that Mr Ipevnor is their worthy son whose antecedents ranks him top to be the next Governor of Benue state at the end of Governor Ortom’s tenure and deserves their blessings to succeed in the interest of Kwande and Benue state.

Declaring his intention, the Chattered Accountant informed the elders that the good people of Kwande are favoured to produce the next Governor of Benue State and as a kwande son, he wish to run the race and if given the opportunity, Benue people will not be disappointed. He stated further that Governor Samuel Ortom has provided a conducive atmosphere in PDP which gives hope for a Kwande son to succeed him.

Responding on behalf of Mbayôô, elder Iaren Dura thanked the people of Mbahav for giving birth to such a wonderful Son. He added that, he curiously knew Mr Isaiah Ipevnor during his personal electrification project at Mbahav and Koti Apera which is uncommon for a non political office holder. Other elders who spoke include: elder ortese Jia from Mbagande, Ukaren Gande from Mbaninge, Iorngirin Gur, Agber Kachi for Mbaikyan, Atser Fakaa, Kerakera Ubwa, Tsenneke Benga all for usar, Elder Tyoakaa and Yongoan Adeke of mbawer, Hangerior Damkor of mbaikyuran all encouraged Mr Ipevnor to go ahead assuring that God will lead him safely to Government house by 2023. In a similar development, elder Ahaa Gwaza (Or Soo Ityo) who quoted the words of the late Pa Kwaghterna Gesa Saying; “The time has come for Kwande and Benue to choose a man of goodwill” which Mr Ipevnor represents. The President of Nanev Development Association (NADA), Mr. Akumba Atser Fakaa described Mr Isaiah Ipevnor as a household name in Nanev and Kwande adding that Ipevnor is a visionary leader.

Rapping up the glamorous event, the oldest man in Nanev, elder Iorngôr Adabo appreciated his kinsmen for unanimously blessing his son. He eulogised Ipevnor for his generosity and care for elders. Baba Iorngôr said he has no doubt in his mind that Isaiah Ipevnor have their blessings and the voice of the people is the voice of God.
Hon. Iorkase Chula Adonko who spoke on behalf of the entourage of Ipevnor thanked the elders of Nanev for responding to the call of their son. He encourage the people to believe in the PDP and Kwande 2023 Governorship agenda.

Mr Isaiah Ipevnor was accompanied by Hon Iorkase Chula, Hon Ayila Shiada, Hon. Tion Gbunka, Dominic Ihongo, Tyokula Alashi, Civirter Collins Ambu, Atsaregh Vershima Barnabas John-Bosco among other supporters.
