Except something positively happens urgently, death will come in a matter of days to take the life of another member of the Independent Print-Media Publishers Association of Nigeria (IPPAN) Mr. Edward Kwaghaondo. He is the National Secretary of the association and publisher of Frontline News magazine and newspapers.
Narrating to this reporter pains of the sickness he has been suffering from a protracted ailment, the IPPAN scribe alerted that if assistance does not come soon, death was around the corner and would take his life away!
He explained that when the sickness manifested about two years ago, he visited a treatment facility and the estimated cost of medication was N1,950,000.00 only to heal him fully.
The IPPAN secretary disclosed that Governor Samuel Ortom provided some support when news of the sickness got to him.
Kwaghaondo added that the assistance helped him to start treatment but was not enough to treat the ailment wholly and since then, his health condition has continued to deteriorate!According to the publisher, the current health condition has made difficult to move in search of daily meals, not to talk of the ability to go looking for the resources to treat himself.
Displaying assorted variety of the drugs required to be taken on daily basis, the distraught scribe who lay physically ill put the cost of the drugs in a day at nearly three thousand naira while one month over sixty thousand naira.
Secretary of the very important organization, IPPAN who appears walking on the corridors of death amidst affluent colleagues says “in the absence of further support, I have decide to hold on God alone for solution!”
