Hadi Sirika

The Federal Government has announced that international flights will resume on August 29; while introducing protocols to minimize the risk of the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika, took to Twitter to announce this development on Monday.

The tweet reads;

“Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from the August 29, 2020 beginning with Lagos and Abuja as we did with the domestic flight resumption. Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience,”

Nigerian airports have been shut down since March 23 to all, excluding essential international flights, as part of the country’s efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
