The Chairman Board of Directors, Benue Investment and Properties Company, Hon. Mike Mku, recently donated some palliatives to Churches and communities in Yandev and Gboko Local Government at large, worth over millions of naira.
Speaking during the donations, Chief Mike Mku said the palliatives were sent to him by his son who lives in America to distribute to the community.
He maintained that, his son was aware of the hardship felt by the people and decided to assist in his own little way and called on the beneficiaries to manage what they get.
Also speaking, the Vicar General of Gboko Catholic Diocese, Rev. Father Udu said the gesture will go along way to alleviate hunger in some homes at this period, appreciated Chief Mku for choosing his Church as one of the beneficiaries center and prayed to God to reward his son and the family at large.
In his speech, the resident Pastor of NKST Genyi-Yandev, Rev. Pastor Teryange Yanver said the donation was the first of it kind, since the pandemic started. The resident Pastor also called on other Gboko sons and daughters to emulate Chief Mku’s gesture and also prayed to God to bless the Mku family.
The palliatives were in food form which included: rice, beans and floor mills which were distributed to some Churches in Yandev community, friends and family.
