Chamber Telegraph congratulates Toun Sonaiya on the Award as one of the Most Powerful Women Journalists

Management and Staff of Chamber Telegraph have congratulated Mrs. Toun Sonaiya on the Award as the number 11th of the 25th Most Powerful Women in Journalism.

The Award which was unveiled to the recipient during the weekend emphasized that, as a woman journalist, amongst others, she has distinguished herself in the art and practice of journalism.

Mrs. Toun who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Women Radio based in Lagos with a branch in Abuja is also the Media Strategist for the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

In a congratulatory message, the Publisher of Chamber Telegraph online newspaper, Prof. Adesoji Adesugba said that the award is a demonstration of competence, resilience and strategic thinking nurtured over the years.

Prof. Adesugba also prophesied that with such tenacity and commitment to the accomplishment of noble objectives, only the sky can be the limit of her recognition and the future ahead lies brighter.

“I have worked closely with Mrs Toun in NACCIMA and the media industry. I can therefore attest to her professional touch, competence and attention to details.

“On the occasion of this Award, I congratulate her and stand to prophesy that the sky is the limit of her recognition and accomplishments in the years to come.

“Mrs. Toun is a thorough breed, a media icon per excellence, a goal getter and On Air Personality (OAP) that has used her position to impact positively on the women folk, the Organised Private Sector (OPS), the economic development of the country and overall national development”, Prof. Adesugba maintained.

In another congratulatory message from the medium, the Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Lubem Gena said the Award is coming at a time when the nation needs mentors of Mrs. Toun’s caliber in order to serve as a source of inspiration to the younger generation.

Mr. Gena believes the Award which he described as a worthy one would serve as an opportunity for her to rededicate herself to the nation and to humanity.
