Governorship candidate of PRP Pastor Frederick Lanshima Ikyaan is set to lunch his Governorship campaign at Adikpo, the ancestral home of Tiv nation.
According to insiders, the activity is to hold on Saturday, 19th January, 2019, one of his inner campaign team members, Mr. Felix Orduen Kor told News Headquarter.
It was further stated that the exercise is to remind the people of his origin the Tiv nation that, he knows his origin and is applying the principle of ‘Charity Begins at Home’.
Ikyaan whose candidature is fast spreading like a wildfire is believed to be enjoying the support of churches and critical volunteer groups across the length and breadth of Benue state considering his pedigree as a straight forward and honest pastor who always believed in due process, accountability and good governance.
“Pastor Frederick Ikyaan was not featured in the political equation of Benue state till five months ago when the atmosphere in the game became dusty and the rumor of Pastor Ikyaan jumping in to the political canoe of Benue state to paddle it became a reality.
“Many observers believe that the Ikyaan project is a divine one to rescue Benue state from high infrastructural deficits and administrative incompetence which has characterised the state.
“Judging from his intellectual capacity or prowess and personal credentials, it is generally believed that Pastor Ikyaan is truly God sent to redeem the state from the shackles of poverty, illiteracy, deprivation, stagnation, backwardness and gross incompetence in handling state affairs “, Mr. Felix added.
