Bandits will abduct govs next – Adeyanju on killing, kidnapping of soldiers

Deji Adeyanju, convener of Concerned Nigerian, has suggested that bandits may start abducting state governors soon.

Adeyanju was reacting to the invasion of the Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, in Kaduna State.

He noted that if bandits can abduct soldiers from their barracks, then state governors are next.

In a tweet, the rights activist described the invasion and abduction as unthinkable.

According to Adeyanju: “For those of us that know the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna very well, it remains unthinkable that bandits can invade the place, kill three soldiers, then kidnap other officers. If bandits can abduct soldiers in their own barracks, they will soon start abducting Governors.”

Gunmen suspected to be bandits had on Tuesday attacked NDA in Kaduna.

The bandits killed two officers and kidnapped four others during the attack that occurred in the wee hours of Tuesday.
