The Ajax star’s impressive career have not gone unnoticed with many clubs monitoring the Argentina International- most notably, Frank Lampard’s Chelsea side.
Chelsea have now been updated on a potential price cut for Tagliafico and are monitoring developments with hopes to snatch up a bid for the lad. Even better, the 27-year-old handed Chelsea a boost while noting his desire to play in the premier league.
Ajax chief executive Edwin van der Sar had confirmed that the Dutch club may have to sell some of their first teamers this summer with Tagliafico being one of the first names on the list and reports suggest it has been agreed that he can go if someone matches the asking price.
He fits the bill and is an ideal replacement for Marcos Alonso in left back and the fact he can play a number of positions makes him an even better fit than Ben Chilwell- a player Chelsea have been priced out of.
