There is jubilation in the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry as its Executive Committee Member, Dr. Aliyu Idi Hong is appointed as the Director of Government Relations at Bua Group.
Dr. Hong is also the Executive Committee member of the chamber in charge of Government Relations, Diplomatic Affairs and Strategy.
The President of Abuja Chamber of Commerce, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, said the news was received with excitement as it was an evidence that the track-records of achievements by Dr. Hong has earned him the new position in Bua group.
Prince Kayode also said with the appointment of Dr. Hong in that capacity, the Bua group will enjoy a smoother relationship with other stakeholders in the public sector and other auxiliary bodies in their areas of operations.
“It is with great enthusiasm that I received the news of the appointment of our own Dr. Aliyu Idi Hong in the capacity of Director of Government Relations with Bua group.
“Dr. Hong has worked closely with me and I can attest his commitment to any assign task. He has zest, zeal and always deploys a mixture of competence and diligence to deliver on any laudable objective. Bua will certainly be better for it “, Prince Kayode stated.
Former President of the Chamber and current Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) Second National Deputy President, Otunba Dele Oye also said he was not surprised at the appointment.
Otunba Dele Oye pointed out that the appointment is well deserved and the group stands to reap abundantly from the constructive decision.
“It is a well deserved appointment which will go a long way in facilitating the fortunes and quality products and services of the Bua group”, Otunde Dele Oye said.
On his part, the Vice President of the Chamber for Digital Economy, Prof. Adesoji Adesugba said he was equally elated.
Prof. Adesugba emphasized that, Dr. Hong has a Midas touch and will always surpass all expectations in the course of achieving any task.
“As I congratulate my brother, Dr. Hong on this assignment with Bua, I equally want to appreciate the group for headhunting him among several other people. I know, for a fact, he will do a thorough job and take Bua to greater heights”, Adesoji maintained.
Also, the Second Deputy President of the Chamber, Chief Emeka Obegolu said: “We wish you all the best as you take up yet another challenging engagement even as we know you are a round peg in a round hole”.
Meanwhile, other Executive and Council members of the Chamber have also sent in their congratulatory messages immediately the news of the appointment was shared on its platforms.
