Africa Day: Abuja Chamber President task African leaders on economic development

The President of Abuja Chamber of Commerce, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode has charged African leaders to rededicate themselves to total economic emancipation of the African continent.

Prince Kayode who is also the Vice President of the Pan African Chambers of Commerce and Industry (PACCI) made the appeal in his message on the occassion of the celebration of the 2019 Africa Day.

His appeal was contained in a statement made available to newsmen by his Media and Strategy Officer, Mr. Lubem Gena.

“We must accept the responsibility continent lies for the task of redeeming our people from the shackles of debilitating poverty, ignorance and disease.

“This day provides the opportunity for the leaders as well as the youth of Africa to embrace the challenge of growth and development and adopt deliberate measures to develop our economies.

“I therefore call on all African leaders to brace up for the challenges ahead. If we must develop as a people, concrete steps must be taken to advance our economies.

“We remain committed to the economic prosperity Nigeria and the continent. We remain passionate about the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) because of the huge developmental potentials it has for Nigeria and Africa”, Prince Kayode maintained.
