This was contained in an official release obtained by the News Headquarter.

Rt Hon Gbajabiamila stated this while addressing people of the Federal constituency via a telephone call at the opening of the constituency office of Hon Salam in Ede, Osun state.

The rest of the release reads as follows:

The Speaker assured the people of Ede Federal constituency of his personal commitment to the actualization of the development agenda contained in the manifesto of Hon Salam.

While noting that Hon Salam has shown himself as a man who cares so much about the welfare of his people and development of all parts of the Federal constituency, Hon Gbajabiamila urged all stakeholders in the four local governments to cooperate with the Federal lawmaker in order to maximise the opportunities in the National Assembly.

Earlier in his speech, Hon Salam said the opening of the constituency offices less than two months into office is in fulfilment of the promise he made to run an open, inclusive and impacting government as a federal lawmaker.

He explained that the constituency offices in Ede, Egbedore and Ejigbo Local Governments will ensure regular communication between him and the constituents on a regular basis.

He thanked the Speaker of the House of Representatives for running an inclusive administration which has given members elected on the platform of minority parties the opportunity to hold critical committee positions in the Parliament.

While announcing the appointment of forty personal aides to work in the constituency offices, Hon Salam said the welfare of the people and stability of Nigeria will remain a cardinal programme of his representation in the National Assembly.

He described the constituency offices as open to all persons regardless of party, ethnic or religious affiliation.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the People’s DemocraticParty in Osun State, Hon Soji Adagunodo who was represented by the State Secretary Hon Bola Ajao praised Hon. Salam for maintaining his link with the people who elected him.

Adagunodo said the party will support all its elected officials to justify the confidence reposed in them by the people.

The Yeyeluwa of Ede, Chief Mrs Dupe Adeleke-Sanni, who cut the tape to commission the constituency office described the Federal lawmaker as a humble, dedicated and God-fearing person whose tenure will usher in many great things to the four local governments in the Federal constituency.

Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of letters of appointment as Constituency Relations Officers to four persons with disabilities chosen from the four local governments in the Federal constituency.
