As constituency adopts Senator Ademola Adeleke

Osun State deputy chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Elder Sunday Akanfe Atidade has called on leaders and members of the party across Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, Ejigbo federal constituency not to be discouraged by the recent setback brought on the party by the recent controversial Supreme Court judgement over the governorship tussle in Osun State.

Elder Atidade made the call at the leadership meeting of the constituency held in Ede, headquarters of the federal constituency, according to an official statement obtained by News Headquarter.

He said members should put the ugly development foisted on the party by “human beings at the Supreme Court” behind them and rather ride on it to strengthen their resolve to see PDP back to saddle of governance in Osun State.

The former chairman, Ede South Local government also debunked rumors of his impending defection to APC, describing it as unfounded and absolutely impossible.

Addressing party leaders at the meeting, Honorable Bamidele Salam representing the constituency at the national assembly, also expressed disappointment at the judgement of the apex court, noting that it was a great injustice visible to all and sundry in the country.

He told teeming supporters of PDP in the state not to allow their faith in God to be shaken by the unfortunate development.

Instead, he enjoined party leaders at all levels to stand up and provide hope in form of staunch leadership to understandably disappointed admirers of the party in the constituency and the state at large.

He also expressed profound appreciation to Dr Deji Adeleke and family for their tremendous generosity and support which he said have gone a long way in strengthening the party in the state.

BS as he is fondly called by party members further admonished party faithful and sympathizers alike to continue to support Senator Ademola Adeleke in his quest to build on the legacies of service to humanity by late Asiwaju Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke in Osun state.

He advised that the winning team as exemplified by Senator Ademola Adeleke should be maintained for the benefit of the party. In his capacity, assured leadership of the party of his resolve not to relent within the opportunity available to him, in keeping the party together and stronger than ever.

The newly appointed member of ECOWAS parliament advised job seeking constituents to always endeavor to avial him with necessary information about their efforts as promptly as possible, especially those who have obtained one employment form or the other from federal agencies of government.

This according to him, would afford him make necessary inputs where applicable.

The lawmaker thereafter reeled out series of his immediate plans aimed at assisting students, young school leavers and various categories of youths in sharpening their skills on different trades as well as their educational pursuits.

These programs according to the lawmaker, include; holiday summer school in major towns as centers within the federal constituency, entrepreneurial booth camp involving training of young minds on different business and funding opportunities amongst others.

His stewardship will also be intermittently presented to the public in order to keep people abreast of his activities at the national assembly.

Highlight of the meeting includes adoption of Senator Ademola Adeleke as governorship candidate of the party in the next gubernatorial election in the state.

Motion to this effect was moved by representatives of each of the four local governments before the unanimous adoption.

Osun state PDP deputy chairman who doubles as chairman of the party in the federal constituency, Elder Sunday Akanfe Atidade, State Woman Leader, Mrs Omowumi Otunla, Minority Leader Osun state house of assembly, Akogun Babajide Kofoworola, his colleague in Ede South, Honorable Niran Atidade, party chairmen in the four local governments of the constituency, notable leaders as well as major stakeholders of the party in the four local governments attended the meeting.
