The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has withdrawn the result of one Mr Unekwe Kingsley who participated in the year 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The withdrawal followed falsification of his UTME result from 201 to 269.
The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB Professor Ishaq Oloyede made this known in Abuja while addressing Mr. Kingsley and his mother who had petition the board over result reduction.
Professor Oloyede explained that the case of Mr Kingsley increases the number of those forging their result to five as two of them were already being prosecuted.
Professor Oloyede said the board had announced that anyone who committed post examination infraction, the result would be withdrawn, stressing that Mr Kinsley would not be spared.
Mr. Kingsley said he scored 232 at last year’s UTME and was offered admission into the university to study Zoology but his parents’ wanted him to study medicine.
The evidence presented to the board indicated that the result was falsified and Mr Kingsley confessed to have committed the crime.
The Family of Unekwe Kingsley had petitioned JAMB over result reduction and they were consequently invited to Abuja from Awka, Anambra State with evidence.
