The flag bearer for the Ekiti state gubernatorial election under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Kayode Fayemi has announced that he will be resigning as the minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the next two weeks.
Dr. Fayemi who is the minister of Mines and Solid Minerals Development said, the move is to enable him to concentrate on his political ambition of presiding over the affairs of the state for the second time.
He was speaking on Sunday Politics anchored by Seun Okinbaloye aired by Channels Television this evening when he also attributed his success in the primaries to the blessing by President Muhammadu Buhari.
He denied bribing delegates in the same manner as he described the Governor of the state, Peter Ayodele Fayose as an entertainer that he needs not to spend time to respond to.
It could be recalled that, Fayose emphasised via his Twitter handle that, Fayemi is the easiest candidate to beat in the upcoming elections.
