As APC grapple with crises generated by the recently concluded ward Congresses, the New Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), one of the major blocks that helped the All Progressives Congress (APC) to steer President Mohammadu Buhari to power in 2015 has issued a 7-day ultimatum to President Muhammadu Buhari and the party to address a plethora of grievances in the overall interest of the party.
Apart from Atiku Abubakar that has already defected to the PDP, Senate President Bukola Saraki among other defunct New PDP members are yet to defect.
In a petition, it submitted to the leadership of the party, the group alleged that it had been treated contemptuously like outcasts despite the immense contributions and sacrifices it made toward the victory of the party.
They threaten to pull out of the party if no urgent and responsible steps are not taken to address their grievances.
The group was led by Kawu Baraje.
